Secretary of State Congratulates Middleton School on Results
The very high standard of academic achievement, hard work and professionalism by staff at Middleton Primary School has been recognised in a joint congratulatory letter from the Secretary of State for Education, the Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP and the Minister of State for School Standards, the Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP.
The letter states that, by improving the percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics for the second year in a row, Middleton now has 100 per cent of its pupils either reaching or exceeding these standards of assessment.
The Government letter also officially affirms that the school is in the top 1% of primary schools in England.
Overjoyed that the Department for Education has acknowledged the effectiveness and quality of teaching at Middleton School, Headteacher Rachel Roberts said:
“We were delighted to receive a letter of appreciation from the government. The staff and pupils at Middleton should be proud of their drive and determination in achieving these excellent results.
“We will continue in our resolve to ensure that our pupils succeed and be the very best that they can be.”
