In Year Applications for Primary - Reception to Year 6

In year admissions refer to applications made at any other time after the initial September entry into Reception.

Parent/Carers should be aware that Middleton Primary School is an oversubscribed school, with more applicants than places available and each year many Parent/Carers are unsuccessful in their application for a place.  Please note that when a place does become available it is allocated strictly in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria.

To apply for a place at Middleton Primary School, please complete the application form for September 2025-26- (link below).  

In year KET Primary Application 2025-26

The application form is an editable PDF. Save the form to the device you are using, then complete the form and press save.  The completed form should be emailed with the supporting documentation to admissions@ket.education . 

The school is currently full in all year groups, so a turn down letter is initially sent out. You will then have the opportunity to place your child(ren) on the waiting list for 2025/2026.

Middleton Primary School maintains a waiting list throughout the academic year. The waiting list will be ranked in accordance with the over-subscription criteria and length of time on the list will not be a factor in offering a place. This means that children will move up and down the list as other children are or removed. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place at the school. Waiting lists close at the end of the academic year.

Middleton Primary School Admissions Policy Sept 2027

Middleton Primary School consulted on the proposed 2027 admission arrangements between 13^th October and 28^th November 2025. No comments relating to the proposed consultation were received.  The Local Governing Body determined the 2027 admission arrangements, as set out in the consultation, on 1^st December 2025.

Middleton Primary School consulted on the proposed 2025 admission arrangements between 11^th October and 29^th November 2023. There were no proposed updates and no comments were received.  The Local Governing Body determined the 2025 admission arrangements, as set out in the consultation, on 11^th December 2023.
