The application window has closed for Children starting school for the first time.  This is for Children born between 1^st September 2019 and 31^st August 2020.

Timeline for Admission Appeals for Year R – September 2024

Following national offer day of Tuesday, 16^th April 2024 if you named Middleton Primary School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel. 

The appeals timetable* for Middleton Primary School for students starting in Year R in September 2024 is shown below.  Stage 1 hearing and Stage 2 individual hearings will be held virtually, with meeting invites issued by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel nearer the time.

Should you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at Middleton Primary School, please email admissions@ket.education  providing the name of the child, their date of birth and an email address where the appeal paperwork can be sent.  Please ensure you state the appeal request is for Middleton Primary School.  Requests for appeal packs must be made by 3pm on Wednesday, 15^th May 2024. 

*Please note it may not be possible to include within this timetable any appeals that are lodged after the deadline.

**This is the deadline by which the completed appeal form must be received by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel.

Please note that for applications for Year R  to Year 6 the current year groups at Middleton Primary School are full and consequently you will receive a turn down initially to the application. You can then request for your child(ren) to be placed on the waiting list for the rest of this academic year.

2023 Middleton Admission Arrangements

The 2023 admission arrangements were determined by the Local Governing Body on 4 October 2021.

Admission arrangements September 2025

Middleton Primary School consulted on the proposed 2025 admission arrangements between 11^th October and 29^th November 2023.  There were no proposed updates and no comments were received.  The Local Governing Body determined the 2025 admission arrangements, as set out in the consultation, on 11^th December 2023.

Middleton Primary School 2024 Admission Arrangements

The 2024 admission arrangements were determined by the Local Governing Body on 3^rd October 2022.
