CAKE SALE FUN!
At the end of October Year 4 held a cake sale in aid of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. This was a great success and we would like to thank all parents for the cakes that were donated. The children enjoyed baking cakes in school to sell and had lots of fun negotiating prices with the other classes. We raised a lot of money but this is still to be confirmed. We will let you know as soon as possible.
Photo Frames
In DT we made photo frames. To do this we has to use lots of different equipment to cut and glue our frames together. We used wood to make the frame and had to measure this to the correct size of our picture. This was very tricky as we had to try and cut a mitre joint to join two parts of the frame. Everyone showed great determination and we all ended with a fantastic frame for our picture!
Music
In year 4 we are lucky enough to have Mrs Kaye from the MK Music Service working with us on world percussion. We have been using an instrument called the 'djembe' and we have been learning how to play this correctly. It has been a lot of fun playing different rhythms and signing along.
