WALT translate a point and shapes.
Firstly, I would like to apologise for an error on the hot challenge task yesterday where lines did not match the answer sheet. This was a Mr Morris mistake and was keenly spotted by many Year 5 pupils. Well done! Hopefully, fingers crossed, there will not be any errors in today's tasks.
Today, we will be learning to translate shapes. Translation is all about moving shapes without changing the shape of it. Watch the video called “Translating shapes” which will show you how to translate both points and shapes. Download the document afterwards with the WALT on to see what your chilli challenges are today!
Tuesday 21st April 2020
WALT reflect points and shapes with co-ordinates.
Today, we will be learning to reflect shapes with co-ordinates. This follows on from yesterday’s lesson. This time, we will give co-ordinates for shapes and points that we have reflected in lines.

WALT reflect shapes in lines.
Today, we will be learning to reflect shapes within lines. This movement of a shape is called reflection. You can use mirrors to best show reflection but I want to show you how to do it without the use of a mirror.
Look at the PDF or word document to see what it is you will need to do today!
