WALT identify and order developmental changes in children

Today we are going to be thinking about how children change and grow. Between the ages of 0 and 12 there are so many amazing changes that a child goes through. You are very different from how you were as a baby in so many ways.

Your first task today is to open the pdf below and ask an adult at home when you achieved these different development stages.

(This sheet does not need to be evidenced on Purple Mash)

Then we would like you to use this information to create either a PowerPoint about yourself showing when you achieved each point.

You should use the following age ranges to help you to structure your work:

0-2 years

2-3 years

3-5 years

5-7 years

7-10 years

10-12 years

We would love you to include any photos you may have of you at these different ages and if there are any other milestones your parents can tell you about then please include them in your work too e.g. began to use cutlery to eat with, learnt to write your name.

Have a look below at an example of a slide Mrs Dyer has created about her son Dexter.

Your final slide should be age 12+.

What do you think the future holds for you? How do you think you will grow and change over the next few years. Please write on this page what you think will happen to you - what will you achieve?

Please upload your PowerPoint to your work folder on Purple Mash. We look forward to seeing your work. smiley
