W.A.L.T Find out what animals need to survive.
Today in science we are going to discovering what animals need to survive. Have a conversation with a grown or write down your predictions (careful guesses) about what you think animals need to survive - this means to stay alive. Once you have made your predictions you then need to watch the BBC bitesize video (link below) to find out what animals need to survive?
There are four things that animals need to survive, tell an adult what these are (Were your predictions correct?).
Activity - Choose an animal and find out (research) how this animal gets their food, air, water and shelter. You could add what food they eat and their shelter to your drawing.
Draw your animal and complete the sentences
Draw your animal and write a sentence under each heading about how they get their 4 basic needs.
Draw your animal and write a sentence each for how they get their food, air, water and shelter. Think about how this animal breathes, for example do they breathe through their nose and mouth or do they have gills? What does this animal eat? Where do they shelter?
