Spelling, reading and SPaG

Friday  24th April 2020

Every Friday we will be setting a spelling challenge. Below is a link to the new spellings and a fun game you can play. Next Friday you will have the spelling test to see how you are getting on. Remember to complete your spellings each day.

I have also uploaded a reading comprehension text with questions based on Robin Hood. There are also some other optional activities at the bottom of the sheet.

Finally I have uploaded a SPaG mat which has 1, 2 and 3 star challenge to choose from (only complete one challenge). The answers are on the document to check once you are finished.

WALT: write a story set in an imaginary world/place

Get your writing hats on.  Today we will be finishing our story from yesterday. Once finished remember to go back and check your work.  You could even create a front cover and blurb back page.

Go through the PowerPoint to understand the key ingredients of a story. If you have finished your story there is a 2do alert where you can write a post card based on your story. More information is on the PowerPoint.

I look forward to reading your stories.
