WALT compare old and new toys
Hello Year 1! Today in our history lesson we are going to look at different types of toys. I am sure you will have some examples around your home for the different toys you have, you might even have a favourite one.

Below is a task we would like you to complete that involve matching the toys up to whether they are old or new.
Have a go at matching the toys depending on whether they are old or new.
Have a go at matching the toys and then see if you can find any others around your house that you could describe as old or new.
Have a go at matching the toys and then draw your favourite one that you own.
Design your own toy - can you think about the different materials it would be made of like in our Science lessons last term?

WALT understand who is important to us and why
Today's topic lesson is PSHE, looking at our friends and family. Work through the Powerpoint, thinking about the qualities of a good friend and why friends and family are so important!
Task
Your task is to choose either a friend or a member of your family and make them a trophy! Choose a template and design your trophy.
Design your trophy and write the person's name that you are awarding it to.
Design your trophy and write a sentence including a reason why you have awarded them a trophy e.g. 'It makes me happy that you play with me.'
Design your trophy and write a sentence including two reasons why you have awarded them a trophy using 'and' to join e.g. 'It makes me happy that you play with me and you share your toys with me.'
