WB 20-04-20

This week in maths, we will be looking at multiplication! This will begin with counting in 2s and 5s to recap their prior learning, progressing to counting in 10s, making equal groups and adding equal groups. Children in Year 1 should be able to recognise multiplication being the same as repeated addition. They do not use the multiplication symbol at this stage and refer instead as 'groups of' or 'lots of' amounts.
