WALT Recognise those in the community who help us
Today we are going to think about all the people in the community who help us. These people always work very hard but have been working particularly hard recently.
Work through the PowerPoint, learning about different people who help us. Can you think of any other people in our community who help us?
Today you are going to make a card to thank one of these people for all of their hard work.
Use the template to help you.
Make sure to design the front of the card using lots of colour and then write your message inside.
You can either write the card by filling in the template:
Or there is a blank card for you to write your own message:
You can also make the card without using the template if you wish.Upload your card for purple mash for us to see.

W.A.L.T Listen and appraise a piece of music.
This week we would like you to log into your Charanga account to continue your music learning. We are continuing to work through the activities in the 'Your Imagination' block.
We would like you to explore Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins and complete the activities for around 20 - 30 minutes. You could share your opinion and thoughts on the song on your class blog if you wanted to.
Our 'How to use Charanga Music' PowerPoint is attached below should you need any user guidance.

WALT Create artwork inspired by another artist
Today we are going to be creating artwork in the style of Eric Carle. In school, you have made fantastic collages of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Today we are looking at another book by Eric Carl called Mr Seahorse. Have a look at Mr Seahorse, how many different colours can you see?
Have a look at Miss Wakley’s example here:
I have used kitchen roll and coloured it in with felt tip pens to make different colours for a collage. You could have a go at this if you like.
Use whichever method you like for your seahorse but make sure it’s colourful!
If you would like to, you can listen to the story here:
Here is the seahorse template for you to use:

W.A.L.T Create an advert for a toy.
What is an advert? Why do we have adverts? Discuss these questions with a grown up.
Can you think of a favourite advert? You might want to look on YouTube at some of the toys you have at home and watch the adverts that have been made for these toys.
Task - create an advert for either your favourite toy or the toy you designed and made a few weeks ago.
You can choose to create a poster on paper or the computer. You might want to make your own TV advert and ask an adult or someone in your household to film you or take photos!
Think about all of those questions you answered before about who would like to play with it. Why is it the best toy around? How much is it going to cost?
Upload your adverts to Purple Mash. We can't wait to see them!
