Sunday 7th March
Dear parents and children,
As you will already be aware, we have had to take the very difficult decision to postpone the reopening of school to Foundation pupils until Tuesday 16th March 2021. Due to this closure, we will continue to provide our online learning provision to all pupils supplemented by live wellbeing sessions. I am sure you will understand and appreciate that our Foundation staff will be working tirelessly over the course of the day tomorrow to put together a range of activities for your children to complete at home. I ask that you bear with us tomorrow while we spend the day planning and resourcing these activities for the children. Throughout tomorrow, the online learning area of the website for Foundation will be added to ready for our Julia Donaldson topic to begin properly on Tuesday. This topic will run through to Monday 15th March and our new topic will begin from Tuesday 16th March when we return to school. We look forward to seeing the learning activities that your child has produced on their Evidence Me profile where we will continue to provide feedback on their learning.
We would like to invite the children to join in with the following Foundation live events via Microsoft Teams. These live events will be a chance for the children to see their friends in their class on the screen and will be an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.
This week's events are as follows:
Monday 15th March at 11am - Foundation Julia Donaldson show and tell - this is an opportunity for us to come together as a whole year group to share some of our learning from this week's activity grid. We will also be talking about coming back to school as part of this session.
We would like to thank you all for your support during this unexpected additional week of home learning for all Foundation children. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
