WALT use our SPaG skills to solve a mystery
Today we would like you to open the document below and follow the instructions.
If you follow the instructions carefully it will lead you to one name which is the answer to the mystery.
You do not need to print off the sheets, please work through and solve the mystery. The only evidence we need to see is the name of the culprit. Please write it on a piece of paper and photograph to upload to your my work folder or type the name into a word document and upload it to the same place.
Wednesday 8th April
Today we would like you to answer some comprehension questions about a poem. The poem is called The Tyger by William Blake. Below we have put mild, spicy and hot tasks for you to complete. There is answer sheets too for you, or an adult, to use to mark your work. You do not need to print off the sheets, you can just write your answers on a piece of paper, photograph your work and upload to your my work folder.
Tuesday 7th April
Today we would like you to practice the Year 5 and 6 spelling words. Below you will find a document with sentences that have a spelling mistake which has been circled. All you need to do is to write the correct spelling of the word and then use the answers to mark your own work, or ask an adult to do it, in a different colour. You do not need to print off the sheets, you can just write the words on a piece of paper, photograph your work and upload to your my work folder.
Monday 6th April
WALT continue a story
Today we would like you to continue the story below. You need to make this story as exciting as possible, what happens is completely up to you! You can decide who the characters are and what happens to them. Make sure you use lots of description to really paint a picture of what's happening to the reader. We expect to see you using all your SPaG skills to show off what an amazing writer you are.
Please either type your story into a word document or into the blank chapter book template in 2Publish plus on Purple Mash and save it into your work folder on Purple Mash. Alternatively you can write it onto a piece of paper and upload a photo of it to work folder. If you would like to, you can illustrate your story however you choose. We can't wait to read your stories:
These two superheroes had had a lifetime of saving lives. Day after day, they had battled the streets fighting crime and protecting innocent people from the clutches of evil.
Now, their lives were slightly less busy, as they left saving the world to younger superheroes. However, they still had the energy for one last mission. The phone began to ring...
