WALT apply knowledge of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores

Before Christmas, we looked at what carnivores, herbivores and omnivores were and used that knowledge to create food chains. Today you are going to be deciding whether you agree or disagree with the statement below using examples to back yourself up.

Carnivores are not hunted by other carnivores.

True or false?

2Do (starter activity)

1 STAR - Name the carnivores.

2/3 STAR - Sort the animals into carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and put them in the correct place in the Venn diagram.

WAGOLL (what a good one looks like)

Remember you need to decide whether carnivores can be hunted by other predators or not. The WAGOLL above gives reasons and examples to support the decision. As long as you explain yourself, it can be either true or false.

What is a carnivore?
