Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Bletchley Park to kick start their topic of 'Britain at War'. The children had a guided tour which they found very informative. They took part in a workshop where they became codebreakers using morse code and a code sheet to infiltrate messages, which had been intercepted. This helped them to plot ships on the map to get valuable supplies to our country. We also got to see and understand how an Enigma machine worked and how important but difficult it was for the people at Bletchley Park to crack the code.
