Take the first letter of your name and compete the following with it. Maybe challenge someone else and see who gets them all in the fastest time. Choose a different letter and have another go!

Thursday 21st May
Make a bunch of paper flowers to brighten someones day. You could use magazines, newspaper, old wrapping paper, old books or design your own on any card or paper you have to hand. Once you are finished add a stem of rolled paper or a straw and deliver them. It could be to your mum, a neighbour or a member of your family you see from a distance. Many websites are available for various designs. This one has templates and instructions to help you.

Write a story – my story opener is
I came home from school, dropped my bag on the floor by the door and went into the kitchen to get a snack and a drink. The dog was lying asleep, snoring quietly in his basket. Wait…. I don’t have a dog…
Remember plan your plot. Use the success criteria you use in your writing in school, have a beginning, a middle and an end, include speech and remember your tenses. Aim for at least 300 words which is not as hard as you think. Don’t do it all at once, just keep adding to it. You never know it may turn out to be your first novel!

Thursday 7th May
Tomorrow is the 75th Anniversary of V E Day and under normal circumstances we would have had a day off school to celebrate this special day. I thought this picture symbolises not only events of the wars but also what we are dealing with at the present time. Tonight when you clap for the carers also think about those in history who have made the world a better and safer place for us to live in.
Street parties and family get-togethers would have probably been planned for tomorrow and the weekend, there is a 2 minute silence at 11 am tomorrow on our doorsteps and a toast to the Heros of WW2 at 3 pm. To join in - make some union flag style bunting and put it in your windows or gardens. There are numerous sites you can google for free V E Day bunting templates or you could design and make your own.

Today try the game "20 Questions"
This can be played in a group or with just one other person. The question master thinks of a person or thing and the others have to guess what or who it is. They are only allowed to ask questions that would get a yes or no answer. The others must guess the answer by the 20th question. If you are playing in a group the first person to guess the correct answer gets to pick the next item to be guessed. Have fun!

Today is Captain Tom Moore’s 100th birthday. We all know that he has raised millions of pounds for the NHS by walking round his garden and that he lives not far from here in Marston Moretaine with his daughter and her family. I would like to know 5 other interesting facts about him and his life.

Today at 11 o’clock the UK are observing a 1 minute silence to honour those people who have lost their lives while caring for people with CV19.
My task for you is to write a poem. You might like to write one in their honour or perhaps how you are feeling now not being able to see family, friends or be at school. I would love to read what you have written.

Do you, like me, keep thinking of all those things you would like to do but can't at the minute because of social distancing?
I have decided that I am going to make a family wish jar. Every time one of us thinks 'I wish I could...' we are going to write it on a post-it note and put it in the jar. We are going to keep adding them and when this has all finished we will pick out a wish and enjoy making it happen together. There are some great online ideas for decorating your jar (or you could use a box, whatever you have to hand). It could be for everyone in your house or you could just do one for yourself.

Create a collage – it could be of anything – a portrait, your garden, bedroom, a rainbow for your window or your favourite holiday place. Use whatever materials you have at home – old magazines, newspapers, material/fabric scarps or old wrapping/tissue paper. Send me a photograph.

Perhaps you could build a bug house or maybe a hotel! Choose a place in sunlight or light shade. Use whatever is lying around in your garden: old plant stems, pine cones, bits of bark.You maybe able to pick up some extra bits when you are out on your daily walk. A roof of tiles will keep things dry. Frogs, ladybirds and other insects will love it.

"Try to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud"
Paint or colour a rainbow and put it in your window. You could maybe write a message to say thank-you to the postman, delivery driver, dustbin men etc
Make a den
It could be inside or outside with whatever equipment/material you have to hand.
Then spend some time in it reading, having a snack or playing. But remember the golden rule -tidy everything away when you are finished!
Let’s get creative.
Type into Google ‘let’s draw a..” you can choose anything you want - a car, a horse, Mickey Mouse.
It’s great fun.
