WALT compare mass


We did lots of learning about mass when we were in Year 1. Mass is to do with the measure of how much matter something has (i.e. how heavy or light something is). We measure mass in terms of grams (g) and kilograms (kg) which is something we are going to be covering this week - for today, we are going to look at whether something is heavier or lighter than an object we are comparing it to.

Today's lesson is a practical one - you will need to compare objects around your house and decide which one is heavier or lighter by comparing them. You do not need scales to do this, you can hold both objects in your hands and decide which one is heavier this way.
