WALT write a letter
In English this week, we have been writing letters to the Green Crayon, based on the story 'The Day the Crayons Quit'.
For your homework this week, we would like you to practise your letter writing skills at home! You can write a letter to a person or character of your choice. It could be a different crayon, a family member or another character from your favourite book.
One star - Tell your grown up your sentences and have a go at writing simple sentences using your phonics skills.
Two stars - Include Dear/from, a range of conjunctions (and, but, so, because) and a question in your letter.
Three stars - Include all of the skills mentioned above and additionally, use exclamation marks and the address of the person you are sending the letter to.
WALT recognise number bonds to 10 and 20
This week in maths, we have been recapping our number bonds to 10 and 20.
Create your own number bond rainbow to demonstrate the pairs of numbers that make 20.
One star - Complete the rainbow to 10
Two stars - Complete the rainbow to 20
Three stars - Complete the rainbow to 20 and write the number sentences to match
As a challenge, you could write the subtraction number sentences!
