WALT: calculate perimeter

Today we will be learning how to calculate the perimeter of simple shapes with missing lengths. We will use our understanding of the properties of quadrilaterals to help today.

You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for the session as there are some activities during the PowerPoint.  Please stay in the lobby whilst completing your work. You can get instant support as well as additional modelling after the input to ensure you’re completing the work accurately.

You have a selection of three challenges to choose from today.

  1. Mild – calculate the perimeter of simple shapes
  2. Spicy – Calculate the perimeter of more complex shapes
  3. Hot – Perimeter reasoning problems
  4. Challenge: create a poster on measure and perimeter.

I hope you enjoy the session today. Please upload your work to Purple Mash.
