Baking with Miss Bennett

Baking Bread

This week I have had a go at making some bread. It has been tricky getting hold of yeast but I finally got some and here is a video of me making my loaf of bread. There are also recipes that don’t require yeast.
If you can, I’d like you to have a go at making some bread. It doesn’t have to be a loaf it could be rolls, pizza, flat bread, naan bread, garlic bread, brioche, focaccia, pitta bread, sweet bread or anything else you want to try!

Have fun and remember to wash your hands!

NHS inspired baking

This week I tried out making a battenburg cake as I have wanted to have a go at it for a while. Rather than the traditional pink and white colours, I decided to show some support for the NHS by creating my cake in blue and white. I will put a picture of the recipe I used up for anybody who would like to try it.

I challenge you to bake (or cook or decorate) something inspired by the NHS. This may mean that you use the colours as I have or you could be more creative. I look forward to seeing what you do! You can post pictures to your class blog or tweet a picture or video and @DovesMPS so that I can have a look.

Don't forget to wash your hands.
