WALT identify tens and ones
This week in maths, we have been recapping our place value knowledge.
Look at the numbers below and represent them as tens and ones e.g. 13 = 1 ten and 3 ones or 10 + 3 = 13
One star - represent the number using objects around your home and take a photo e.g. stick = 10 cheerio = ones
Two star - use a part-whole model to represent the tens and ones
Three stars - use a part-whole model to represent the tens and ones and then write the number sentence to match
Three tens and two ones = ?
10 + 10 + 7 = ?
One ten + one one = ?
